TRIVIUM
FOR AOL

What is Trivium?

Trivium is a fast paced multiplayer trivia quiz played in an AOL chat room, usually here in the Pub Quiz rooms.

You as a host decide your own type of quizzes and the questions you want to ask people in the room.  Trivium then presents those questions to the room and automatically detects correct answers and awards points to the people who provide them first.

As an example of how a Trivium quiz is played, the host may ask the room

••• In which film would you find the character Police Chief Martin Brody?

The players in the room then all type in their answers as fast as they can and the people who provide the correct answer - in this case "Jaws" - quickest receive points.

The number of winners (typically five) is decided by the host and those points are awarded to each correct player and Trivium moves on to the next question.  At the end of the quiz, Trivium automatically presents players scores in ascending order to the room.  All of this is done automatically by Trivium (the host doesn't even need to be at the computer to run a quiz!)

TRIVIUM
FORTUNES

What is Trivium Fortunes?

Trivium Fortunes  allows you to host a fun quiz for play money in a standard AOL chat room.  The people in the room are considered the players, and the software will send questions to the chat room and await correct answers.
The winner is the player who picks up the most money - they then go on to play the Superboard question for big money....

As an example of how the quiz is played, the host may ask the room

••• Name a film made entirely by computer graphics

and have various answers available for players to guess, such as Shrek, Toy Story, Finding Nemo etc.  Each of these answers have varying values (decided by the host), ranging from £50 to £5 (or $ for American hosts).

Questions continue in this format until the end of the quiz, where the scores of the players are automatically displayed to the room.

The highest scoring player then gets to play the Superboard question, a question solely for the winner which puts them up against the clock to find all the correct answers to - if they do, the sum made is added to their overall score.
